Hello all, let's coordinate carpooling and lodging for this weekend. Please contribute to the topic if you're interested in any of this, or have any general questions. See you Friday!

Hello Darren. Got your email. Yes, will see you on Friday morning 9am.

I will be driving up from the Los Angeles area on Thursday afternoon. Wonder any one want to car pool?

also it will be my first time going to the Owen Valley so central parking doesn’t mean much to me. On mountain project, if I use direction to the warm up wall it would take me to central parking. I wonder if that is the parking lot. If use Owen valley it would only take me to the Gorge road exit off the 395.

I am also planning to stay in a hotel instead of camping. I think 30 degree is too cold for my old bone. If anyone plan to stay in a hotel we can coordinate and drive together to the trail head.

I'll be driving down Thursday afternoon and car camping. I've never been to the gorge before, wondering if it's dog-friendly?

I read on the web dogs are allow. But please check with the Bishop visitor center for sure. Google would locate the Bishop visitor info for you.

Hey all, here's better directions where to meet Friday morning at the Central Parking Area:

    1. From north of Bishop on hwy 395, take the Paradise Swall Meadows Exit
    2. Turn to the east, toward the gorge and drive up a steep hill .7 miles until you come to a tee intersection with Gorge Rd.
    3. Turn left (north) on the Gorge Rd and proceed past the south parking area at 3.3 miles to the dirt Central Parking Area turnoff at 4.8 miles.
    4. Turn right here and drive .2 miles and park near a transmission tower. Look for my orange Subaru.

    See you all soon!
