Wanted to start a post for the club's upcoming trips to Donner Pass July 27th and Bowman Lake July 28. Please post any questions, ridesharing or gear issues. I have a Nissan Xterra for the event on the 28th and we will likely need another highish clearance car to help get club members to the crag so if you've got one let me know!
So far as gear all members need to bring a harness, helmet and rock shoes. We have belay devices, extra carabiners, anchor material and rope so don't worry about that. This event is designed as a day of cragging but if anyone wants practice mock leading I'll bring extra draws and a short rope to give that experience as well.
I'm guessing it's going to be very sunny and warm so bring water and sunscreen/sun protective gear. The 28th is scheduled to end at 3pm but I don't mind staying around until the sun sets if there is interest.
